Client’s Brief – Full School Washroom Refurbishment

The school wanted the old male and female toilets stripped out and replaced with a fresh, robust solution to match the style and quality of previous refurbishments. Consistency across the site was key, along with products tough enough to cope with daily student use.

Our Secondary School Washroom Solution – Robust, durable and contemporary design

The project at Leventhorpe Academy was a true collaboration. TBS Amwell supplied all of the bespoke washroom products, and Novus Workspace Solutions Ltd carried out the installation to bring the school washroom designs to life.

Our scope included the design and manufacture of toilet cubicles, washtroughs, IPS panelling and vanity units – all tailored to suit the demands of a busy secondary school environment.

Splash Education SGL Toilet Cubicles

Finished in Summer Oak laminate, these cubicles are designed to meet Department for Education regulations, with 5mm floor clearance and overpanels for maximum privacy. Anti-finger trap hinges add safety, while Solid Grade Laminate construction ensures durability, water resistance, and easy maintenance.

SGL PDQ Panel & Frame

Supplied in Stone laminate with Pepper flashgaps, panels arrived pre-fitted to a steel frame for quick, flexible installation. The system conceals plumbing for a clean, hygienic finish.

Education Washtroughs

The Solid Surface Washtrough in Avalanche is a practical and hygienic handwashing solution, designed with a 400mm reduced depth to be space-efficient and for easy handwashing. The thermoforming process during manufacture moulds the trough to reduce joints for easier cleaning.

PDQ Vanity & Frame

Paired with the Education Washtroughs, the PDQ Vanity and Frame allowed for a fast installation during the summer holidays works, keeping the project on schedule. The SGL underpanel frame provides a modern, sleek and durable finish.

The Result

The finished washrooms at Leventhorpe Academy Technology Block are another great example of how our education washroom solutions can transform tired facilities into modern, practical and safe spaces.

By combining durable cubicles, versatile PDQ Panel & Frame systems, and hygienic washtroughs, we delivered a secondary school washroom refurbishment that’s not only functional but also looks the part.

This is now the third successful project we’ve completed at Leventhorpe Academy – and judging by the results, we can’t wait to see which block they’ll ask us to refurbish next!
