To modernise the facilities and enhance the overall visitor experience, the marina undertook a comprehensive commercial washroom refurbishment project. Working alongside T.M. Ruane Ltd, TBS Amwell supplied a complete commercial washroom solution designed to combine durability, practicality and contemporary aesthetics within a demanding marine environment.

Using calming earth tones including Pistachio, Salt, Coastal Green and American Walnut, the finished commercial bathrooms create a welcoming and sophisticated washroom environment perfectly suited to the marina setting.

Client’s Brief – Durable Commercial Washrooms for a Marine Environment

The brief for the St Helier Marina project was to provide modern and durable commercial washrooms capable of performing in a busy, high-moisture environment. The facilities needed to withstand constant daily use while maintaining a clean, stylish and easy-to-maintain appearance for visitors.

The project required:

Our Commercial Washroom Product Package

Splash toilet and shower cubicles

TBS Amwell’s Splash range was selected throughout the washroom and shower areas due to its exceptional durability and suitability for wet, high traffic environments.

Manufactured from 13mmn Solid Grade Laminate, the washroom cubicles provide excellent impact and water resistance, making them ideal for busy leisure and marina facilities. The material is safe, robust and easy to maintain, ensuring long-lasting performance in environments exposed to high levels of moisture.

The Splash cubicles were fitted with satin anodised aluminium fixtures and fittings including slide indicator bolts with emergency release functionality, ensuring the commercial toilet cubicles combine safety, practicality and modern aesthetics.

PDQ Panel & Frame IPS Systems

To complement the cubicles, TBS Amwell supplied PDQ Panel & Frame IPS systems throughout the washroom areas.

Manufactured in Solid Grade Laminate, the IPS panels and ducting panelling were supplied in Salt and Coastal Green to maintain colour consistency throughout the washroom design. The pre-assembled metal framed systems significantly reduced washroom installation time and labour costs compared to traditional timber-framed systems.

The result was a highly durable and practical commercial washroom solution ideal for the marina environment.

PDQ Vanity & Frame Units

The complete the washrooms, TBS Amwell supplied elegant PDQ Vanity & Frame units with Solid Surface countertop vanities.

The countertops were manufactured in Avalanche with integrated white basins, creating a seamless and hygienic finish ideal for busy commercial bathrooms. Matching 13mm Solid Grade Laminate base unit and accessible maintenance panels were supplied in American Walnut, adding warmth and sophistication to the washroom interiors.

The vanity systems arrived on site pre-assembled, allowing installation to be completed significantly faster than traditional site-built systems and helping streamline the overall refurbishment programme.

Additional Washroom Features

Additional features supplied for the project included urinal dividing privacy screens manufactured from Solid Grade Laminate in Coastal Green, helping improve user privacy within the washroom areas.

Post-formed High Pressure Laminate pelmets were also supplied in matching Coastal Green for the urinal and vanity areas, ensuring continuity throughout the final commercial washroom design.
