TBS Amwell recently partnered with Kingsway Commercial Interiors Ltd on the commercial washroom refurbishment of Unit 1B, Edinburgh Way. The project involved upgrading the washroom facilities as part of a broader retail unit refurbishment. The space, recently vacated, required modern and functional washrooms that complemented both office and warehouse areas.

TBS Amwell manufactured and supplied a fully tailored commercial washroom solution that combined style, functionality and long-term durability, ensuring the refurbishment met the client’s exact requirements.
The client required a washroom solution that offered flexibility to meet the varied needs of each area. For the office space, they were looking for a higher-specification finish. To achieve this, TBS Amwell provided a tailored solution by sourcing a bespoke laminate colour selected by the client, ensuring the washrooms integrated seamlessly with the refurbished interiors. By offering flexible and customised washroom solutions, we enable contractors and facility managers to achieve spaces that are both practical and visually cohesive.
The project at Unit 1B Edinburgh Way was a true collaboration. TBS Amwell supplied the bespoke washroom products, and Kingsway Commercial Interiors Ltd carried out the installation to bring the retail washroom refurbishment to reality.
Our scope included the supply and manufacture of multiple toilet cubicle ranges, IPS panelling and vanity units – all tailored to a high-spec finish on a budget. Providing a range of material choices allowed us to tailor the washroom to the specific needs of each commercial space.
Featured in the male and female office washrooms, the Impact toilet cubicles were manufactured in Grey Vicenza Oak, providing an upgraded finish with a modern aesthetic. Impact is constructed from 18mm moisture-resistant High-Pressure Laminate, paired with Satin Anodised Aluminium fixtures and fittings that provide structural integrity, anti-rust features and visual appeal. The 100mm floor clearance ensures easy, effective cleaning by allowing maintenance teams full access beneath the cubicles.
The tailored HPL toilet cubicles contributed to an easy to maintain, modern, high-spec office washroom environment that aligns perfectly with client expectations.
Featured in the factory floor employee washrooms, the Axis MFC cubicles are ideal where practicality and cost-efficiency are priority. Designed for lower-traffic, dry environments such as back-of-house areas, providing a functional, reliable and easy-to-maintain solution.
Axis is manufactured from 18mm Melamine Faced Chipboard with Satin Anodised Aluminium hardware. Adjustable pedestals ensured stability on uneven floors, while the Pepper laminate finish delivered a professional and practical look suited to industrial environments.
One of the key advantages of working with TBS Amwell’s PDQ Panel & Frame is the ease of installation. Kingsway’s familiarity with our ready to install metal-framed IPS panel systems allowed for efficient and accurate assembly on site. IPS panels arrive on site pre-fitted to a galvanised steel frame, reducing installation time. Our experienced factory team work to a high standard which ensures maximum durability and a seamless finish once installed.
Our PDQ Panel and Frame IPS systems provide reliable, long-lasting performance, which is essential in high-use commercial and retail washrooms.
To complement the toilet cubicles, TBS Amwell supplied Solid Surface Vanities for both the male and female office washrooms. Crafted from a durable mineral-acrylic blend, these countertops offer a seamless, hygienic surface that is easy to clean, stain-resistant and maintainable over time.
Paired with HPL underpanels in Pebble Grey and Stone Grey, the vanities enhanced the overall design coherence of the office washrooms. Our Solid Surface vanities are ideal for high-traffic commercial washrooms, providing both long-lasting performance and a high-spec appearance.
The washroom refurbishment at Unit 1B, Edinburgh Way proves the value of washroom systems designed for long-lasting performance and the demands of high-use environments. The customer praised the final outcome noting that it “looked good and a higher specification with the special colour”.
At TBS Amwell, we deliver fully tailored solutions that help contractors, architects and facility managers deliver durable, stylish, and high-quality spaces. With HPL cubicles, IPS systems, and Solid Surface Vanities – back by robust construction and coordinated design options – we ensure every project achieves a refined, resilient finish that stands the test of time.
