Material Options

Melamine Faced Chipboard (MFC)

18mm melamine faced chipboard, with 1mm matching or contrasting PVC lipping. Ideal for dry environments with light to medium use.

High Pressure Laminate (HPL)

18mm standard thickness moisture resistant chipboard, faced both sides with HPL. Suitable for dry areas with more intense use.

Solid Grade Laminate (SGL)

13mm standard thickness with a solid core and polished black radiused edges, SGL is suitable for demanding environments where strength and/or water resistance is needed.

Real Wood Veneer

18mm moisture resistant chipboard faced both sides with real wood veneer. Our real wood veneer offers true consistency of colour and grain – it is available either crown cut or straight grain depending on the wood species.

ColourCoat

18mm MDF with ColourCoat lacquer finish.

Hinged access (optional)

Health and safety hazards are now a thing of the past for maintenance staff, with our optional top hinged access panels that lock at a 90° angle.

Hinged panels are only available in a 4- split panel model. 

Top of 3rd panel position fixed at 1950mm above floor finish level.

Standard maximum height- 3000mm. 

2 panel shelf height unit is 1200mm as standard, excluding shower units.

Maximum width for hinged panels is 850mm.

The minimum visible top flash gap height is 50mm. This is to ensure the top panel can be removed.

All non- hinged ducts are 3 panel splits up to 2499mm.  2500mm and above must be 4 panels.

Q) What is the maximum width of the PDQ IPS Panels?

The maximum width for hinged IPS panels is 850mm for non-hinged panels it is 900mm.

Q) What is the maximum height of the PDQ Panel & Frame?

The maximum height of the IPS Panel System is 3000mm

Q) Can I customise the PDQ Panel configuration?

It depends on your washroom ceiling height, and whether you are including hinged access panels.
For example:
Hinged panels are only available in a 4-split panel model with the top of the 3rd panel position fixed at 1950mm above floor level.

If you prefer a non-hinged IPS Panel System you can choose between:

  • 2-split panel model with a panel height of 1200mm as standard (excluding shower units)
  • 3-split panel model with a unit height of 2499mm. Anything above 2500mm must be 4 panels.

*Anything non-standard will incur an additional cost.

Q) What is the maximum size for flash gaps?

The minimum visible top flash gap height is 50mm. This is to ensure the top panel can be removed.

Q) Can I add a lock to the access panel on my IPS system?

Of course, an Anti-vandal lock can be added as an upgrade for when extra security is needed

Q) Can I add a hinged access panel to my order?

Absolutely, as an added extra you can add a hinged access panel, opening and locking at 90 degrees allowing easy maintenance access.

Q) What material is used for the PDQ flashgaps?

Our Flash Gaps are available in both MFC and SGL finishes.

  • MFC – Recommended for general use, as it’s easier to cut down on site.
  • SGL – Required for wet areas, such as IPS panels in showers, to ensure durability and water resistance.

Q) What materials are TBS Amwell IPS panels available in?

The PDQ Panel & Frame is available in MFC / HPL / SGL / Real Wood Veneer / ColourCoat

Q) Can I mix and match my colour finishes for the PDQ IPS Panels?

Yes, our PDQ is available in either 34 laminate colours or 11 Real Wood Veneer finishes and you can choose multiple colour configurations for this product.

Yes, when fixing a grab rail to our SGL IPS panels you will need to pattress the accessories to ensure stability and safety.
